An immersive light experience centered around sustainability will be introduced through an AI-powered show, placing a strong emphasis on this important theme.
Alibaba Cloud, the technological and intelligent foundation of Alibaba Group, is delighted to collaborate as the official partner of i Light Singapore 2023, an event organized by the Urban Redevelopment Authority (URA). As part of this partnership, Alibaba Cloud will introduce its newest sustainability solution through an immersive light experience, aiming to emphasize the importance of sustainability and promote eco-friendly lifestyle decisions.
Alibaba Cloud’s software-as-a-service sustainability solution, known as Energy Expert, will be utilized to assess the carbon emissions of Lightwave: Turning the Tide, an engaging light installation included in the festival’s array of programs taking place at Marina Bay from June 1 to June 25, 2023. By employing this sustainability solution, valuable insights and recommendations for energy conservation will be generated, benefiting future editions of the event.
The general public will be encouraged to embark on their own personal journeys towards sustainability by participating in i Light i Pledge, an online platform where they can make commitments and share their visions for achieving net-zero emissions by 2050. Each pledge submitted online will be transformed into a unique visual representation using Alibaba Cloud’s artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. These visuals will be displayed on a screen as part of the closing segment of Lightwave: Turning the Tide. This initiative aims to demonstrate how individual actions can contribute to a more sustainable future for everyone. Additionally, for each pledge submitted by the public (limited to the first 5,000 pledges), 100 grams of waste will be cleared from Singapore’s waterways.
