Hackuity, the renowned provider of risk-based vulnerability management solutions, has achieved accreditation from the Infocomm Media Development Authority of Singapore (IMDA), placing the company among a select group of accredited organizations. This milestone comes on the heels of several significant achievements by Hackuity, including recognition from the French government’s Grand Défi Cyber Stage 2.

The Chief Revenue Officer at Hackuity, Pierre Samson, expressed gratitude for being a part of the IMDA Accreditation program and noted Singapore’s burgeoning role as a cybersecurity hub in Southeast Asia and globally. Samson emphasized the Singaporean government’s unwavering commitment to cybersecurity through various initiatives, such as research and development centers, incubator programs, legal frameworks, and support for industry growth. He anticipates that this accreditation will not only benefit the company within Singapore but also facilitate its expansion throughout the region.

Established in 2014, the IMDA Accreditation program plays a pivotal role in nurturing and growing the local Infocomm Media (ICM) technology ecosystem. It aims to expedite the growth of innovative, fast-scaling tech companies headquartered in Singapore, solidifying their credibility and positioning them as viable partners for government and major enterprise entities through recurring market access opportunities. IMDA’s efforts also serve to expedite their global market expansion by bolstering their track record in Singapore.

Having collaborated with government agencies and prominent global enterprises like Thales, BNP Paribas, Pole Emploi, and Engie, Hackuity is well-positioned to provide robust support to organizations in fortifying their cybersecurity posture and deciphering threat prioritization and attack surface complexities.

Edwin Low, Director of Enterprise and Ecosystem Development at IMDA, warmly welcomed Hackuity into the IMDA Accreditation program. He praised Hackuity for its pioneering work in developing award-winning cyber vulnerability management technologies and recognized the company’s strategic positioning as the APAC headquarters in Singapore. Low expressed enthusiasm for partnering with Hackuity to streamline aggregation and remediation processes, unveiling innovative use cases.

The global cybersecurity industry has witnessed remarkable growth, with a current estimated value exceeding US$173 billion and a projected value surpassing US$420 billion by 2030, maintaining a Compound Annual Growth Rate (CAGR) of 8.9%. While Singapore’s cybersecurity market is relatively smaller, valued at around US$2 billion, it aspires to reach US$5 billion by the end of the decade.

Pierre Samson further highlighted the persistent shortage of tech talent and specialists in the region, emphasizing the need for organizations and governments to prepare for the escalating cybersecurity challenges. He commended the Singaporean government’s proactive stance, citing their commitment of S$1 billion in 2020 over three years to enhance cybersecurity capabilities. Samson believes that these government-led policies provide a strategic platform for local, regional, and global cybersecurity firms looking to expand internationally.

In the future, Hackuity plans to leverage the competitive advantages offered by its Attack Path Monitoring project’s innovative solutions. The company aims to generate more than 50% of its business internationally by the end of 2024, positioning itself as a leader in the global Risk-Based Vulnerability Management (RBVM) market.

Hackuity’s recent accreditation by IMDA represents a significant milestone in the company’s journey towards global cybersecurity leadership. With a proven track record, innovative solutions, and a commitment to addressing the evolving challenges of the digital landscape, Hackuity is poised to make a lasting impact on the cybersecurity industry.
