
Infosys will reinforce its commitment to the Nordics and expand its footprint by acquiring Danske Bank’s IT center in India, which employs 1,400 digitally skilled professionals.
Infosys, a global leader in digital services and consulting, has announced a strategic collaboration with Danske Bank, a prominent Nordic Bank, to expedite the bank’s digital transformation efforts on a large scale. The collaboration aims to support Danske Bank in achieving its strategic priorities, including enhanced customer experiences, operational excellence, and a modernized technology landscape through next-generation solutions.
Danske Bank, headquartered in Denmark, provides banking services to personal and business customers, as well as large corporate and institutional customers. To accelerate its technology transformation, optimize access to talent and capabilities, and improve productivity, Danske Bank has chosen Infosys as its strategic partner.
As part of this collaboration, Infosys will also acquire Danske Bank’s IT center in India, which currently employs over 1,400 professionals. Leveraging its global expertise and industry-specific solutions, Infosys will significantly enhance the bank’s IT operations and capabilities using its AI-first services, solutions, and platforms, such as Infosys Topaz, along with experience design and operational support.
Frans Woelders, Chief Operating Officer of Danske Bank, emphasized the bank’s ambitions to become a leading digital bank and their investments in digitalization and technology. He stated that Infosys, with its tools, experience, and expertise in cloud and AI technologies, was selected as a partner to accelerate the bank’s digital and technology transformation. The collaboration with Infosys will provide access to wider talent pools and capabilities due to Infosys’ global presence and scale.
Salil Parekh, Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of Infosys, expressed delight in leveraging their extensive experience in financial services transformation to support Danske Bank in realizing its strategic growth agenda. Infosys will collaborate closely with Danske Bank to enhance its core business through digital, cloud, and data capabilities. This will enable Danske Bank to deliver greater value to its customers by leveraging advancements in AI, including generative AI.
