PT DCI Indonesia Tbk (DCI), the leading data center and colocation infrastructure provider in Indonesia, and PT Datacenter Indonesia Sukses Makmur (DISM) proudly announce the inauguration of their second data center, H2-02, and office facilities at the H2 Data Center Campus located just outside the capital Jakarta. This significant development represents a major milestone in DCI Platform’s accelerated expansion, solidifying its position as a key player in the country’s digital infrastructure landscape. DISM, an official partner of DCI Platform and part of the Salim Group, has been instrumental in this endeavor.

The H2 Data Center Campus, already home to the H2-01 data center since November 2021, now boasts two cutting-edge data centers with a combined total capacity of 27 MW IT load, along with an office building to support customer work activities and business continuity. Spanning a sprawling campus area of 86 hectares, the H2 facility has the potential for further expansion, with the capability to reach a staggering 600 MW capacity. Designed and operated according to DCI’s world-class standards, the H2 campus has garnered trust from over 150 global enterprises and cloud companies.

In a groundbreaking move towards sustainability, H2-02 is powered by solar energy, making it the first solar-powered data center in Indonesia. The solar power facilities generate a total electrical capacity of up to 30 MW and are situated on a 30-hectare plot within the H2 campus. This environmentally-conscious approach reflects DCI’s vision of building a sustainable future for the rapidly developing digital economy in the country. The integration of solar power at H2-02 represents the initial stride towards establishing green data centers across Indonesia.

A core competency of DCI Platform lies in its ability to provide built-to-suit data center services tailored to the specific requirements of customers. The primary objectives of the H2 campus are to facilitate scalability and meet the growing computing demands of hyperscale companies, including global cloud providers. Furthermore, H2 serves as an alternative hyperscale site to the H1 Data Center Campus located in Cibitung, approximately 20 km away.

Toto Sugiri, CEO of DCI Indonesia, expressed his thoughts on this momentous achievement, stating, “The opening of the H2 campus acts as evidence that the strategic partnership between DCI Indonesia and Salim Group is committed to continuously strengthening Indonesia’s digital economy infrastructure through the construction and development of future data centers.”

In addition to its exceptional capabilities, the H2 campus offers extensive connectivity through dedicated fiber paths to strategic locations such as the Cyber 1 building and all other DCI Platform data center sites, functioning as vital cloud interconnect zones for global cloud providers.

Ricky Garyati, Director of PT Datacenter Indonesia Sukses Makmur (DISM), highlighted the significance of the H2 data center campus, saying, “We proudly inaugurate the H2 data center campus, designed with a focus on balance, prioritizing technological advancements for world-class data center services, providing comfortable working spaces, and supporting the environment through the implementation of renewable energy sources.”

With the support of the Salim Group, DCI Platform is poised to continue its expansion across multiple locations in Indonesia, playing a pivotal role in the country’s journey towards data sovereignty. By the end of 2023, DCI Platform aims to operate with an impressive 82 MW IT load capacity, solidifying its position as a leading data center infrastructure provider.

The inauguration of the H2-02 data center at the H2 Data Center Campus is a testament to DCI Indonesia’s and DISM’s unwavering commitment to delivering cutting-edge digital infrastructure solutions, fortifying Indonesia’s position as a digital powerhouse in Southeast Asia and propelling the nation towards a prosperous and sustainable future.
