Discover how Crayon’s cutting-edge security assessment services are transforming the cybersecurity landscape for SMBs and channel partners. Learn how these assessments bridge skill gaps, enhance compliance, and open new revenue streams in the digital age.
Crayon, a prominent player in the IT services and innovation sector, has unveiled two specialized security assessment services as part of its commitment to the ‘Journey to Value’ initiative. This initiative is geared towards optimizing value and revenue for channel partners by equipping them with valuable insights into cybersecurity strength, resilience, risk mitigation, and regulatory compliance.
Presently, a startling statistic from Accenture’s Cybercrime study reveals that 43% of cyber-attacks are targeting SMBs, with only 14% adequately prepared to counter these threats. Furthermore, despite 70% of SMBs planning to transition to cloud-based solutions in the next two years, more than half of them lack the essential security protocols. Warren Nolan, SVP Channel and Strategy at Crayon, emphasizes that these new security services are not mere add-ons but integral components of their ‘Journey to Value’ initiative, aimed at empowering partners holistically. These security offerings are designed to bolster the cybersecurity measures of resellers, managed service providers (MSPs), independent software vendors (ISVs), and system integrators (SIs).
Crayon is rolling out two comprehensive assessments: Cloud Security Assessments and Essential Eight Maturity Assessments.
The Cloud Security Assessments focus on identifying security vulnerabilities in Microsoft 365 and Azure environments. Partners receive detailed reports outlining immediate and long-term security improvement actions, enabling them to provide end customers with complete IT solutions.
Conversely, the Essential Eight Maturity Assessments adhere to guidelines from the Australian Cyber Security Centre, evaluating eight core cybersecurity mitigation strategies. These assessments offer partners a means to deliver comprehensive cybersecurity solutions, meeting the holistic IT requirements of their end customers.
Scott Hagenus, Security Solutions Director at Crayon APAC, recognizes the current market challenges, including skill and resource gaps, that hinder partners from offering such services. Crayon’s assessments aim to fill this void by empowering partners with the tools needed to enhance their customers’ cybersecurity and generate additional revenue streams.
With a dedicated team of over 35 cybersecurity experts, Crayon’s assessments are designed to complement partner capabilities, rather than compete with them. Joel Ramirez, Channel Commercial Director APAC at Crayon, highlights the dual benefits of these assessments for partners: not only do they create an additional revenue stream, but they also enable partners to adeptly address end-to-end security and compliance requirements for their customers.
Crayon has recently expanded its Partner portfolio by introducing Backup as a Service and is committed to continually adding services to bridge gaps and strengthen its partners’ IT offerings.
Crayon’s introduction of these targeted security assessment services represents a significant stride in fortifying the cybersecurity landscape for both SMBs and their channel partners. In a digital landscape rife with evolving threats, these assessments serve as a vital resource for organizations seeking to bolster their defenses and adhere to stringent compliance standards. By bridging the gap in cybersecurity skills and resources, Crayon empowers its partners to not only protect their customers’ invaluable data but also create new revenue streams. With a dedicated team of experts and an unwavering commitment to innovation, Crayon is poised to continue enhancing its partner’s IT offerings, ensuring a safer and more secure digital future for all.
